I have an incredible respect for what you do. I could never handle watching families go through that day after day. To put your beliefs aside out of respect for these people's beliefs at such a terrible time in their life is admirable.

If they posted it to me directly, in your position I'd probably be pretty direct in response and let them know that I don't appreciate their snide comments and proselytizing, especially because I don't disrespect them in such ways despite how I feel about their religious views. If it was just posted to the world and showed up in my newsfeed, I'd ignore it and/or hide the person who posted it so their future posts won't show up.

That's gotta be tough, an atheist hospice nurse. My dad was hospiced at Florida Deland, originally a 7th Day Adventist operation. None of the staff participated in any praying; I think they had a pretty clear line on that. That message you got looks like harrassment.

Well, you have just proved one of the reasons why I like this place. I've had my share of that on Facebook and I had it. I agree with you on the statement that we all should respect others beliefs and we should receive the same cortesy. Anyhow, I just have a tendency to ignore those things....
