I just got banned from FB for 30 days for this photo. It was instant, clearly a bot - and flagged it for nudity? If it was a human, they also might be offended - which is good. The purpose of that picture is to make people who understand sadly nod, and to make human garbage offended and angry.

Facebook I could give a shit about, whats a pain is that my hobbies are obscure and I have groups on there. I don't know where else to find them. I do a lot with nuclear physics, as in I own 7 Geiger Counters right now, some radiation detectors using non-tube based methods, I have hundreds of pounds of lead blocks and all kinds of radiation sources . . . and its a rare hobby.

And I like high voltage electrical play. 50,000 volt Tesla coils and other such. I like powerful magnets - like 1600+lb pull magnets that would crush a leg if it was caught between two. I like powerful lasers, like 5w+ burning beams. And . . . I just like high energy stuff! 🙂 And, its hard to find folks to talk to about such things.

So, I'll look around I guess!

You should make that 30 days 30 years. Fuck Facebook.

I'm personally hoping for a complete collapse of Americas infrastructure - for the sake of humanity. Mad Max land! 🙂 Which will also take care of Facebook!

@Observer-Effect How so? Do you know that in some countries "Facebook" is the word for "internet"? It's millions of people's only way of accessing things online.

@JeffMurray I did not know. And now, I do know!

@Observer-Effect Yeah, shit is crazy. They have about 3 billion active users of at least one of their platforms spanning almost every country in the world (it's only banned in a handful) and it's worth over a half a trillion dollars. Their revenue in 2019 was higher than the GDP of 120 out of 186 countries at 70.7 billion. And they accomplished this all with only 10% of their users being from US/Canada.

@JeffMurray The timing was right, just when the technology and public mood was in the right place to jump big-time into social networking. Some of the companies that have come after them have much better software and UI, but didn't luck out on timing. Doesn't make FB good, just lucky.

And unfortunately I can't find groups elsewhere to talk about a bunch of stuff with: my nuclear physics hobby with, or uranium glass collecting, or my infrared burning lasers, and etc! It's lonely for that stuff everywhere else, except scattered separate forums.

Yeah they can say die RGB but call them a moron and they wail like babies -“my feelings are hurt” Got blocked three days for moron, idiot, trumptard, but they’re tough gun folks. Wonder why white bots do mass shootings? Someone hurt their feelings. 🖕🏽🖕🏿🖕🏾🖕🏻🖕🏼Facebook

Yeah, its fun that the folks who masturbate to their guns think it makes them so tough. I think if you have to push a button remotely on something to face me? You are a pussy. A real man can handle standing face to face. Therefore, I have pretty well no respect for any right-wingers (well, there are MANY other reasons).

If it comes down to needing weapons? Guns are for punks, I'm into particle physics 🙂

Don't sweat it! Getting put in 'time out' by FB is a badge of honor. I despise the 'Book!'

I've had pictures like this taken down years after posting them. I wonder if you can dispute the ban? Obviously it's not sexual in nature, which is probably what they are screening for.

Yeah, I could dispute it - but word is that Facebook is taking weeks to get back to people because Covid has them so far behind. So AI bots are handling the show. Ah well, a month off FB won't be bad for me - its just that during Quarantine as many social outlets as possible is nice!

Oh, maybe down in the lower right corner?

Can't make it out.

@LimitedLight Yeah, but I'm off of it for a month now. Good for me really, though during quarantine losing any social outlets suck.

I'm a pacifist, but this happening briefly had me going "ok . . . where is the closest hub campus for FB. How could I hurt it?" Over it now.

Oh sorry, you meant the god reference. Of course that's why. FB is ridiculous.

@LovinLarge Yeah, they are sensitive about that. Their answer for suffering is always "but . . . but . . .Freewill!" -- which is an argument I crush them at. But its predictable and boring. They never have new arguments.

The only thing wrong with that picture is that its actually 25,000+ kids who die of starvation everyday on earth. And that doesn't then list kids who are killed everyday, dies of curable disease, are raped and much more. Their belief in a loving God is a contradiction. And it pisses them off to get called on it, because they don't have an answer.

@LovinLarge Yeah, and though its changing - 70%+ of Americans are Christian, so they are sensitive about their superstition.
