"Many Republicans feel that Joe Biden is actually more of a Republican than President Trump," former Trump aide Scaramucci

"Here are the prominent Republicans backing Biden"

[cnn.com] August 18, 2020

We're not voting for a left wing puppet. We're electing a kinder gentler right wing authoritarian. Finally, an end to partisanship.

I don’t spend my free time with Democrats and I don’t know anyone that believes that Biden is more of a Republican than President Trump.

A real Republican would be much better than a crazy trump. However I seriously doubt Biden will govern like a real Republican.

Because he is such a political savant! Just another blowhard Trump reject, I would never waste a moment of time on listening to his spew.

@Fred_Snerd thank you! 😄👍

It isn't about being Republican or Democrat or any other nonsense that "the other side" has done, or is doing, or would do, or can't do, or all of the other jargon any of them spew.

It is about "We the People," and keeping the little voice we have left.

This has come down to saving our democracy. Anyone who thinks that a fascist government is better doesn't know history. The only way to come close to winning is to play the game that these powers have forced upon us until we have better leverage to force them to change. We will not get that leverage with Trump and the rich.

@Fred_Snerd Commiserating will not help, we must use the power we do have to force change, the people have done it before.

@Fred_Snerd People are intertwined into a system they have been indoctrinated into, sometimes playing the game is the only way for them survive or have some kind of meaning for their life. The rich simply exploit the system for their benefit. We can try to sour the milk but they have the ability to deceive and control and to "give us what we want."

@Fred_Snerd Of course, we will have work together. I believe the pressures we feel are because things are changing. America is in a transition, two tools of the rich: religion and racism, are losing their hold and they are scared, and the squealing will continue.

@Fred_Snerd You might like another post I wrote: ""Take man's most fantastic invention - God."/

@Fred_Snerd We're working on it.

@Fred_Snerd Maybe something with a little more bite!

@Fred_Snerd Starting point?

I guess a republican is still better than Trump

@Fred_Snerd

Right

Far too many people believe that the removal of Trump and the ascendancy of Biden will solve all the problems. Far from it and they need to know not to be complacent with government regardless of which party is in control.

Whatever they need to tell themselves to relinquish their votes.

@Fred_Snerd That's one interpretation. They and the Democratic platform are more progressive than Trump and the Republican platform. They also respect democracy and the rule of law, unlike Trump. One of two men is going to be the next president and they bear no resemblance to each other.

@Fred_Snerd That's one person's opinion, not fact. I take issue with that entire chart.

@Fred_Snerd Biden will be bound by the Democratic platform.

@Fred_Snerd Who's "we"? Where's their data? How were the documents used in the compilation chosen? Who funded the study? And on and on.

Don't believe everything you read.

Pizza calls.

@Fred_Snerd You'll do your best to counter my bias with your own.

@Fred_Snerd That wasn't evidence because it was unsubstantiated. I don't think you're naive at all, but also not that familiar with what constitutes credible evidence. I see a lot of that here.

You know how I'm voting, you don't know where my allegiance lies. But listen, I'm not really into these lengthy back and forths. I've cross examined enough people to last me a lifetime already. I like interacting with a few people here but truly the less time I spend here the better. No offense intended, you're a very interesting person.

@Fred_Snerd I do think you're interesting but I'm not going to give you a beginner's course in evidence.
