problem with that theory is that most people come together on it, even if it gets distorted along the way, and we end up with an old white guy in a beard

@Surfpirate ha well i would submit that im looking at an Old White Guy, right there, am i not? Who has seen this Old White Guy? He isnt in the Bible anywhere that i can find, either. etc
@bbyrd009 it depends upon the brain imagining this supreme being, he comes in all colours, including rainbow because there are plenty of LGBTQ people with imaginary friends too.
@Surfpirate but again, a "spirit" is still being personified, yeh? Just like "believers" do? Iow "he" is now being imagined literally, rather than "he" as a convenience of syntax
