Amazing, isn't it? I was chatting with an older friend today and we both agreed (once again) that we're so damned glad we're not young adults right now!
Hold on--just hold on---remember how damnably awful it's been in nearly every decade since the nation began. Remember that millions have died in unneeded wars or civil wars or wars in countries most of our soldiers didn't know at all, etc. Remember that there have been depressions, other plagues, (remember how awful it was at the AIDS onset?)
And remember that things have been as low as they can be....and.....we got better!
We WILL do it again!

I have this theory about third generations and how violence and arrogance always pops up every once in a while. Don't look for any sources, its just rambling from a old man. Poor stupid kids. They are asking for their own demise.
