This is a quote from Tony Abbot, former Australian PM. We call him the "Mad Monk".
He is a twat.
But it just goes to show, even total dipshits come out with the most profound shit at times. He's talking of our values, what we are uniting for and what we are willing to sacrifice in fighting Covid1984.

"In a particularly withering judgment, he compared the World War II generation – “ready to risk life to preserve freedom” – with the current generation – “ready to risk freedom to preserve life.”

Hey @powder re: Tony Abbott. Seems like the Brits have the balls to say what we Ozzies won't about the Abbott person:

[sbs.com.au]

Thought of you when I read this.

Tame compared to what would have been said by an eloquent speaker.

Someone obviously wrote this for him because he is not capable of thinking it up for himself. I believe he is now off to his place of birth to mess up our country again by helping them with trade deals he is a scumbag.

Well even though Tony, (Budgie-smugglers, Raw-Onion Muncher, Rabbit Turd ) Abbot was as mad as cut snake I do agree with his comparison in some respect BECAUSE there ARE many of us who are NOT whinging and Moaning about the Covid-19 Restrictions, etc, for the sake of saving others.
Ergo, I'd say that that comparison MAY BE the very first ever intelligent thing ScaBBot has uttered in his entire life thus far.

Typical right wing lunacy.

Twats are useful!...

More like a limp dick. Only good for pissing through.

Abbot the destroyer. Everything he touched he f'cked up. Nothing's changed.

Out here we nicknamed ScaBBot "Passion Fingers" because everything he touches he f'cks up.

5

Abbot's a typical contemporary right winger. He knows the price of everything and the value of nothing.

I hear he's looking to get back into politics. I predicted that when he lost his seat. He's worthless and has no skill other than preventing progress or undoing past progress. He's a political virus himself, that won't die.

That comparison of values works rather well, even if he is a 'dipshit.'

Yes, to whoever wrote the words there is definite meaning. And the speaker is a d**
