New Year's of 1991 (I was 19 years old)! Me and my sweetheart, Susan Arnold driving back from Denver, Colorado, with her best friends (from high school) Tim and Elizabeth Litke. We were driving back in Tim's old beat up Datsun (praying that it wouldn't breakdown)...in a howling blizzard...behind a snow-plow...and we were belting out this song!! The world was our oyster in those days...

My best, most memorable road trips were also in beat-up old Datsuns, also hoping they wouldn't break down, also singing at the top of my lungs. 😁 And yes, it was often Neil Diamond that I was singing, too!

But never in a snowstorm. Snow and ice scare the crap out of me. Even Neil Diamond himself couldn't convince me to go out in a blizzard.

Great song. What a great man and great writer. I think I Am, I Said is one of my favorites.
