It's not the quantity of votes but that Mid-Western states, Az, maybe Fl vote for Joe. That informs the Electoral College and their certification is what matters. They are not subject to fraud, or tampering, or ID so if Joe hits 270 then he legitimately wins.

It is my hope that the antiquated Electoral College will be abolished. And, I don't buy the "small states" argument. The President is the only elected official who is supposed to represent everyone--every vote should count equally.

Each state has two Senators, no matter the population. They are already overrepresented there, and that is enough.

it's more the pathology of social evolution that creates it, I'm sure, but I would argue to Xtians that maybe God directed us to see a problem and an opportunity to become better disciples by working out way out of it. The Xtians won't respond favorably to challenge about their evidence so just go with trying to make them question their interpretation of what God is telling us.

I tend to be dismissive with believers who attribute deities with natural occurrences. Much like I do with people who mansplain or offer unsolicited advice.

In lieu of this new development, Biden might reconsider expanding the court. We can only hope.

I will not knuckle under. I’m well read into World War 2 history and the history of Nazi Germany. Look at what happened when 600 people escaped from Sobibor death camp in 1943, or when Jews fought back against the Wehrmacht and SS troops in the Warsaw Ghetto the same year. These folks knew they had no chance of winning with the few weapons and homemade grenades they had up against the tanks, artillery. The. Flamethrowers and dynamite squads used by the SS. It was the will to fight and die with honor rather than being led like cattle into the death camps. True Bravery that is to me. I own 2 rifles that I keep around for personal protection. They don’t go out of my house at any time except when I go to a shooting range. But I will say this, Anybody, I don’t care who you are........what you are, if you attempt to hurt me or a friend or family member, I won’t hesitate to shove a plunger in your ass. Or to throw acid in your face for that matter. I’m not a believer in the Death Penalty because I don’t view it as a real punishment. If someone gets acid splashed in their face they will be forever blinded and even scarred. And they will have those injuries forever to remind them of their stupidity. My 2 nieces aged 23 and 26 I replaced their pepper spray holders with acid and told them, if someone tries to cause you harm, DO NOT FEEL BAD ABOUT HURTING THEM. they are bad people. So........if something to that extent happens, myself and others close to me, including a few cops, something else to remember.........Fear and pain are great motivators.

Patty must know that there's no fight. Joe didn't come out saying he'll fight an appointment. Doesn't matter how hypocritical it is, McConnell doesn't give a damn about that, he won his insurrection against President Obama simply by saying no. Obama should have done whatever possible to beat McConnell but he didn't and this is the price for not using his power. Sorry, Patty, but it's a new nation.

You are wrong. Democrats will fight McConnell and Trump tooth-and-nail. Republicans only have a three-person majority in the Senate.

We Democrats, anti-Republicans and independents are going to turn the Senate and presidency BLUE by a landslide.

Joe Biden can appoint two more liberal Supreme Court justices. We Democrats will pressure him to do so.

The last president to increase the number of Supreme Court justices was Franklin D. Roosevelt.

I've stated a few times in this thread that Joe has said he won't increase the Court and that an appointment of 45's should be heard so he isn't of any help. Joe is the leader of Democratic party and he's not interested in fighting the gop. He's fighting 45 but loves being friends with gop Senators.
