I have questions, do you think Biden is trying to enforce socialism which has actually been proven in other westernized countrie is sucess and health care and education or are you okaying the dictatorship that your dear leader Donald Trump is trying to enforce with has failed years of businesses because let's be honest it's either failed businesses or tax fraud which do you feel more comfortable with?

Just remember, national health care is national wealth care.
Take it from an unfortunate cancer survivor that can only afford to live in her car.

We as a nation already have many socialist programs. He doesn’t want to make us Venezuela. He might tweak a few things like help the less fortunate and take a little more from the 1%. You’re the first person on here that was born on February 5th like me.

I recently laughed at the following photo.

Substitute whatever word you wish for "hypnotist" - be it Trump, Biden, Clinton, Bush, Pelosi, Putin and the result is the same. You cannot escape the delusion of your country's democracy! When were you ever allowed to vote that "none of the presenting candidate are fit to represent me" ?
Every day milions of people vote, with their money, on the outcome of horse and dog races but cannot vote on proposed legislation controlling their lives and taxes paid.

Socialism is a very broad term. The idea is simple enough, but the methods of implementation are widely varied. Cuba and Venezuela are Socialist, but then so are Canada and Norway.

So those who simply say "Socialism is good or bad" don't really have any idea what they are talking about, it is like saying "fruit is good or bad".

We need to roll our own version taking examples from the past as lessons to learn from. But we do know that a strict form of Capitalism as part of a governing method leads to Aristocracy or Monarchy, which is very nearly what the US has now.

I think Biden's model is too fraught with Capitalist ideas. I more favor a Bernie Sander's style which would favor workers over the corporations. But that's just my preference.

Problem is Bernie isn't running for the office anymore. So you only have one real option if you want Trump out. If votes are divided 3 or more ways Trump will remain in office.

@Lilu59 Correct. Two official options; 1. You don't get what you want. 2. You really don't get what you want.

SO #WriteInBernie

@Normanbites sadly there most likely will not be enough to get him elected. Which will take votes from Biden leaving Trump the president. No my vote will go to Biden.

@Lilu59 I don't think a vote is wasted that way. The current two party system thinks they can give us a choice between two evils and we HAVE to pick the lesser one. After all, they've been doing it for 50 years and we ALWAYS vote for one of the party platforms, because we don't think a reasonable third option can win.

Even if Bernie doesn't win, the losing party will at least think about what they could have done IF they had gotten those Bernie votes.

You don't have to win every battle to win the war.

BTW, of polled voters, 28% are Republican, 29% are Democrat, 38% are Independent. That's how successful this ploy has been, we still have a two party system .... WHY?

@Normanbites well you keep skipping the fact that to get Trump out of office, it will take more than everyone voting other parties. Right now Biden is the only one with enough support to get rid of Trump.

@Lilu59 Yes, and the next time they(the two party system) want you to choose the lesser of two evils, they just have to create another boogey man. Choosing a lesser evil is still choosing evil. That's how we got to where we are.

Definition of insanity; Doing the same thing over and over and over .... expecting a different result each time.

So .... if you don't do something to change the system now, then when??

@Normanbites when there are enough people to make a change. This is not that time. If they ever nominated someone that could bring the minority together would be the time.

@Lilu59 Ummm did you miss the stats on polled voters?

BTW, of polled voters, 28% are Republican, 29% are Democrat, 38% are Independent. That's how successful this ploy has been, we still have a two party system .... WHY?

@Normanbites yes I know the stat's. I also know not all are voting their party. You do you and I will be voting for Biden.

We must move toward deeper socialism … as capitalism is obviously killing us..

Varn Level 8 Sep 30, 2020

Capitalism is only killing those that are too lazy to advance their own wellbeing under personal freedoms.

@CourtJester I respectfully disagree there's a large vast majority of people in this country that no matter how hard they work capitalism does not work for them

@CourtJester Spoken like someone in their top earning years and the best of health. Capitalism would have left you even less educated, perhaps hungry, even homeless as a child ... and with no security or healthcare in old age..

@Fred_Snerd You’re messed up … Aloha ~

@CourtJester

Are starving homeless children too lazy to advance their own well being?

@Marilyn8658 do you have an example?

@CourtJester
Children born into a home of disfunction and Poverty. These children are lazy and deserve this in your view. What the hell is wrong with you

@CourtJester "do you have an example?"
Look around you, you fool. The spoils of Capitalism in the US have gone to the 1%. US workers wages have been static in real terms since 1974. Workers rights have been eroded. Health care costs have sky rocketed and college fees have increased by 3000% or more since the 1980's. If you can't see all this then you are living in an alt right BUBBLE.

@dermot235

It’s not perfect, but even the children born into a home of distinction can succeed in life. I do agree that college costs are a bit high, but Walmart is hiring and you could push carts for 8 hours a week and they will pay for your college costs.

Go Capitalism!!!!!!

@CourtJester
"college costs are a bit high". You are having a laugh. Now I know why you are called the court Jester.
8 hours a week in Wallmart ain't gonna pay for college in the US. Unless you live in Socialist Europe. Then that would work. Go back to your Bubble and stop trolling. You have not idea what the facts are and it would seem you have no interest in them either. So you answer to "High College Fees " is that you should work for Wallmart and be exploited for 8 hours on Minimum Wage.

Social inclusion and Free education is the answer. NOT WALLMART.

@dermot235 Thanks for attempting to set this joker straight.. YouTube noticed I’d recently watched an historical program on ‘the 50’s, so sent me another. I watched. One of many contrasts they made was how a guy pumping gas could ‘put himself through college.’ That’s where trump’s idiots pretend he can/ will (should have by now) take us.. They’re not too bright.

All trump can do is recycle the primitive attitudes of the 50’s, unlimited consumption, racial division, religious intrusion, ever-expanding white suburbs, US world domination, a fear of ‘Socialism,’ military expansion and continuing conflicts (theirs had been Korea). With a battered Europe, and the US manufacturing over half the goods made in the world, ‘we’ were riding high!

Until the blend of Democratic Socialism, people caring for themselves by establishing a framework of earned, yet shared prosperity has them over-taking us in about every field… Too ‘proud’ to doubt our ‘god given right’ to expand and consume forever -- trump’s sorry crew remains unwilling and incapable of understanding they’re getting their butt’s kicked by Socialism. And will continue to … until the Adults of our nation (the Democrats) send them to their room and take back control of the house.. (and the Senate).

I suggest other’s use the ‘Jester’ character here as personal incentive to vote his kind out of every political office in the nation. - but - prepare to remain vigilant and active - because even if they’re forced to ‘stand down,’ they’ll continue to ‘stand ready’ … until their guns rust, ammo rots, and provisions putrefy..

@dermot235 Walmart pays for their employees to go to college.

@CourtJester Your lies are Trumpian.

@dermot235 I have a few patients that have kids working part at Walmart as a cashier and the other is pushing carts. Bother are going to college on Walmart’s dime. And there’s a hell of a lot of other companies out there that pay for it too.

Lazy people just want handouts and don’t think they should have to even look into the possibilities. And that’s why Democrats get voted into office.

@CourtJester Lazy people don't wear masks. Now your Hero Trump has become a super spreader and infected himself. So all the 200,000 plus people that got Covid and died,,,,Are they all Lazy and the people who survived...are they lazy because they can't go to work and have no health insurance as a result. College in the US cost over 30,000 dollars a year. If you could earn that pushing trollies 8 hours a week then everyone would LOVE to work at Wallmart.

@dermot235 No. Uneducated people that don’t know how viruses work and what masks are effective for and want to be controlled wear masks. That’s who wears a mask.

Maybe you should get a job at Walmart.

@K9Kohle789
It is not my or your responsibility to help the lower classes. If we would like to, then we have that right. But we do not have to. Capitalism requires that people be their better selves to better themselves. Socialism requires that you support those that will not even try to be their better self.
There are programs out there that will help the person maimed in a car crash if they make the effort. There are programs out there that will help the alcoholics and meth heads if they make the effort. There are programs out there that will help the wife and kids screwed over by the husband/father.
The great part about America is that their rights end where my rights begin and vise versa. Life is about choices and personal effort. Not paying 65% in taxes for those that make bad choices and give minimal effort.

@CourtJester I don't need a job at Wallmart thank you. I have a good job myself. But unlike you I have respect for people who work at Wallmart. You are just demonstrating what a horrible person you are.

@CourtJester
"I have a few patients that have kids working part at Walmart as a cashier and the other is pushing carts. Bother are going to college on Walmart’s dime."

They are going to college on their own Dime. The EARNED their money at Wallmart. Wallmart are not paying for their college. Your arrogance is astounding

@dermot235 So tell me then; when they finish a semester, is the cart pusher writing a check to the school or is Wal-Mart writing the check to the school??? I can assure you that the kid pushing the cartS isn’t writing a check to the school but is getting paid $15.00 an hour while working and going to school. Not bad for a 19 year old with a work ethic; wouldn’t you say?

@K9Kohle789 Glad for you to explain.

You benefited from ‘charity’ supported by capitalism though. Not socialism. You also had the mind to improve your current state, something that capitalism can help you do and socialism either discourages and/or taxes to a point that it is all but impossible to move up unless you are born into power.

Big difference. Good job though. I commend your efforts.

@K9Kohle789
Charity is (or at least should be) temporary. Socialism is permanent.
There are individuals that use our welfare system as a permanent means of income without ever attempting to improve their position in life. Raising hard working American’s taxes so that those using it as a permanent means of income can have more is absolutely socialism... and completely ignorant.

@CourtJester The FACTS do not support your arguments. Your arguments are driven by ideology and not FACTS. Socialist countries like most in Europe have higher rates of social mobility. They have less inequality of income and they have FREE third level education. Theses are the FACTS. Countries that are more socialist provide the opportunities for people to move up in society.

I do not believe Biden wants socialism. I do believe Trump is a narcissist and will continue to divide this country.

I'm an Ohio resident like yourself. Please get out early and vote. I voted already.

@Unity
I will vote on the 3rd in person wearing a mask with hand sanitizer. I want Trump out of office.

@Lilu59 Montgomery County has polls open already. It was a very efficient process

@Unity early voting is open here as well, but I will be voting on the 3rd. I do not drive so I am going with a friend who is kind enough to take me.

Biden is middle of the road status quo. He is not promoting the platform Bernie is fighting for.
