1967 Pontiac Catalina 2+2, mist blue with black interior. Always was a Pontiac fan I've had:
1968 GTO
1970 GTO
1967 Grand Prix
1973 Grand Prix
1975 Grand Prix
1989 Turbo Grand Prix, only 2000 made.
1969 Bonneville
1984 Fiero GT
Alas they don't exist anymore.
I had a 1967 GTO and a Firebird Esprit. The GTI got totaled (but saved my life), and I had to sell the Firebird because of the gas crisis back then.
On the bright side, that's when I got my VW bug, my favorite car of all time.
The 2010 G6 was the last one off the assembly line. A sad day.
@Gohan Sniff, sniff
Honda Ridgeline, this thing drives like a sports car and hauls like a truck. It has room for 5 passengers, and a full sized trunk underneath the truck bed. On top of all this, it gets 20 plus MPG.
I’d have to say one of my faves is the Jaguar D-Type. Also, the Studebaker Avanti, and another Loewy design, the BMW 507. The Delahaye 165, the ‘70-‘73 Pontiac Firebird, etc. Too many beautiful cars to mention.
I used to be a car person - my first car was a 66 Impala - they had to remove the power steering housing to put in a big block 396 - she could really move.
Second car was a 68 Barracuda - my brother totalled it the day after he got his license - I was heartbroken!
My 2nd car was a 66 Impala SS, only had a 327 in it though.
I'm not sure I have a favorite car. I drive a 2004 Monte Carlo today. Bought it for my ex wife but she liked my Malibu better. When we split up we traded cars then because our cars were in our own names. My very first car was a 1950 Studebaker. Someone said I would be lucky if I drove it 100 miles. Boy were they ever wrong.
The cars of today get so many miles more than before because of close engine tolerances and modern oli choices. Just do the sceduled maintance.
1962 Lincoln Continental Convertible and Model A Ford Roadster - can't decide..
I have a 2000 Honda Insight parked in back. At the time, it was the most eco-friendly car on the road that was commercially available. It was my favorite vehicle for a long time because it could get 60 mpg or more on the hightway, depending on who was driving. Now I'm trying to sell it, because I can't afford to fix it. Sadness.
My future favorite is an eco-friendly home-on-wheels. Maybe aboiut 20 feet long so it's easier to maneuver, and not tricked out on the outside like an RV so that I can get away with parking it in places that RVs usually get told to move on. Must have solar panels, at least on the roof, but even better all over the vehicle. I've seen solar roof tiles, so it must be possible to adapt the technology to a n electric vehicle. Must be well insulated, but also have cross ventilation.
Must be cat-friendly, with maybe some easily assembled and broken down enclosure on the roof so that my two can have a wee bit more territory than just the inside of our home. Must have some fresh, grey, and black water carrying capacity. 4WD would be great. Regnerative braking. Enough batteries to store charge for cloudy days. A one or two burner stove. Satellite internet reception with wifi capability. I'd like it to sleep two, but more would be spiffy.
Etc....
I've had over 80 cars in my life, my favorite were Jaguars. Fairly fast, well appointed and always look good. Never seen an ugly Jag. Right now I'm torn between a new Lincoln Contental and Alfa Romeo Gulia, I would rather have a beautiful car than the fastest because no matter how fast your car is there's another faster, but a beautiful car is always a piece of art.
BTW, I test drove a Tesla, they are every bit as good as everyone says.
1960 Austin Healey Sprite... saw one in an episode of Heratbeat last night, which is set in that era. Owned one in my teen years, wish I still had it. I'd remove everything Lucas from it! And positive earth (ground), what were the Pommes thinking of!
I noted Recordstatic said Celica, my wife came with a '76 Celica, so much fun, and I have owned several Toyotas since, including a Tundra with over 365,000 miles, relaced a starter and a couple of plug coils, and that's it! I will never own another brand, better luck with Toyotas than with a couple of Mercedes I owned, although I retired a 300SDL after owning it from new for almost 30 years, but it was prown to transmission problems, and the last decade of it's life it was loaned to family and friends who were in difficult situations. It was donated to a local PBS station, so I'll never know if it was resold or scrapped.
I drove a Sprite once. Fun car.
