The people most terrified of Satan are Christians; they see the Devil behind every rock and tree...but according to the Bible, Jesus defeated Satan for all time and took the keys of Hades from him.🤔

This is actually funny because we don't know an might never get know, LOL.
I believe the concept of Satan is just the "mind"- it will influence your actions both negatively and positively. Who knows maybe that brought about the concept of Satan.

People had to have an explanation for evil. Early in the bible, this god took credit for all the good and all the evil; but, later, this god became all good so the Satan character was changed. It started out as sort of a prosecuting attorney that worked for this god. Christianity made the Satan this god's arch nemesis and made this character responsible for evil, rather than their supposed all-loving, all-good, god.

They never stop to realize that this god is still responsible because it created the Satan in the first place, supposedly knowing full well what it would become. And then this god gave this evil character dominion over the earth--free to deceive and wreak all kinds of havoc on people.

This god is a complete dick.

And, yes-- the Satan in just in the mind--an excuse for the darker side of human nature.

I like them all: all the creators and the destroyers. There are so many everywhere in the world. They are all created by people and will disappear with them. Nature and science ( the observation of nature) will endure. In the meantime, I will enjoy all the stories.

Satan, belezabub, etc. were an entertainment. Think about it what good story doesn't have at least a little conflict. Just imagine how boring it would be to have no one argue with you - ever. Or at least a convenient plot device.

There's a long explanation of the evolution of Satan in holy mythology by Aron Ra.

It’s told in the Bible that Satan is evil and that he “Punishes the evil”

If this was real what I would say is this........If Satan punishes the evil wouldn’t that make him a good guy? Lol

They are satan, that’s why! Do they have the will power to do good or will they sin and let their imaginary daddy down. They externalise their own desires.

To the religious mind, a myth is a myth only when it is expedient for it to be so, the rest of the time it is the inerrant word of gawd!".

Stephen King’s ancestors wrote the Bible...The major problem is the gullibility of the human mind and desire of many to follow the crowd.

Hence the biblical references to sheep??? 🤣🤣

In most of the old testament Satan or a satan, is simply the servant and friend of God. The persona we know, only appears in the last and most doubtful parts of the Bible, as a crude theological invention. Needed because the tribal God of the children of Abraham, and the local area, was changing into a global god of goodness, and if god was all good, then an explanation for evil was needed.

However they were probably in such a rush, and so disorganized, that they did not think it through, and probably did not care. Because being arrogant, the authors/editors assumed that most of their inferior believers would not be capable of asking intelligent questions.

Yes, it is almost like saying we are fighting ourselves and we are our own enemy. I submit this in the "man created god" idea.

Once again trying to reason logically with the brainwashed?

The idea of an enemy, a Bad force makes, A good force necessary. Without out the threat of evil in Christianity, then its god is simply not necessary. The bad guy in the Bible is actually God, not Satan. Satan is only accused of being evil yet in the Bible he actually does no evil. God on the other hand actually created evil and does evil throughout the Bible.

6

Satan can never die. If the bad guy dies, the story ends.😅
Ignoring for the moment that God actually is the bad guy in the end.😅
