Just now, on the news, I saw a report showing some US shops boarding up their windows, not for a hurricane but in anticipation of election unrest. So disappointing.

Why disappointed @Petter? I suspect that much of your entertainment over the years has come from America - "Gone With the Wind", newsreel on how to lose a war against a backward third world country in SE Asia, photos from space, now more entertainment of people getting ready for riotous behaviour.
I thought that most people stop to watch a schoolyard fight? The popularity of MMA worldwide is only outdone by spending on armaments & pornography!

The USA touts itself as a bastion of democracy, that's why. I would expect this of a banana republic, not the USA. (Although it does own huge Central American banana estates.)

Most banana republic conflagrations in the last hundred years were engineered by American CIA operations.
Depending on where you live many bad things could happen. People are very aware that Donald Trump is not likely to agree to a friendly exchange of power should he lose. This means his supporters with guns might be active in some areas. It's really a shame that people cannot see through this for what it really is.

@Thirst2learn What left wing mob? Where are they in media? Simple question and no pics of them at all. The radical left is actually the radical right carrying guns.
I think it is horrible that they feel they have to do this, but I think it is probably a wise and prudent move.
