From a sociological and historical perspective, slavery has been part of humanity from before recorded history until the early/mid nineteenth century. All of the great empires up to 1800 CE were built on it.
For us in the West, the notion of ownership of another human being as property has become alien, but for some cultures it is still seen as normal.
Where should those in power draw the line against slavery?
What should they do to prevent it?

The good people who have exposed this are already working together to expose the culprits. It's a good start. It seems a very long road ahead. Hopefully some day all of humanity can show some respect towards each other.

it's sickening to know what we as humans are capable of doing. Obviously no matter how advanced we become we will always be willing do despicable things to each other.

It's really very sad and disturbing 😔

How inhuman the widely tolerated slave trade is.
That is quite scary!

The crooked laws of Guinea are involved. You've heard how easy it is for Guinea authorities to change the under aged girls passport documents to be older.

I've seen an hour long documentary where UK Muslims buy-to-own slaves online too. Children as young as 14yo. The documentary also exposed where one child was chained to a concrete floor in her sleep quarters without food.
