House Passes Landmark Bill Decriminalizing Marijuana

"Marijuana use is either socially acceptable behavior or it’s criminal conduct,” said Representative Hakeem Jeffries, Democrat of New York. “But it can’t be socially acceptable behavior in some neighborhoods and criminal conduct in other neighborhoods when the dividing line is race.”

That sounds pretty realistic.
If it involves lots of money, the Repubs will back it most likely.
Such a beautiful and most important plant in this world or out of this world. It's been illegal for 90 years in Canada and gave criminal records to our people greater than all the violent crimes put together.
Why can't we lock up politicians instead?

Well . . . yeah . . . that is a given. He can't rule forever though.
Maybe some dems will get elected to the senate.
Don't forget, biden says he won't legalize it.
First of all, I want to know who made moscow mitch dictator of the Senate? It's one thing to be majority leader & quite another to be dictator.
Secondly, Democrats need to have some guts. They need to raise hell about all the power mm has.
Thirdly, why do people vote for repug senators? It's NOT because people want a congress of a different party, which is what conservative pundits will tell you. It's because repugs continually LIE. Some of their lies:
"The Democrats are going to ytake all your guns away."
and
"The Democrats will raise your taxes."
Speaking of taxes, has anyone pointed out (the President-elact & other politicians) that the repugs have already raised taxes on working people as part of their huge give-away to the rich? Has any Democrat proclaimed loudly that repugs always cut taxes for the rich and raise them on everyone else? ronnie raygun (I call him trump #1) cut taxes for the rich and started taxing Social Security. Conservatives worship his ass.

You're definitely correct. Their are many wishy washy Dems who don't protest enough about things said or done by Repugs. Those wimps and brownnosers made MM the senate dictator. There should be a lot more protests and lawsuits by citizens also about what is done that shouldn't be, and not done that should be done. It is absolutely sickening. We and our friends get riled up about that all the time in my home. But our outrage should be on the streets, in letters to houses of congress, etc.
