Australian Man Let A Spider The Size Of A Face Live In His Lounge For A Year
[iflscience.com]
As I've had a couple tarantulas in the past, I assumed the one here was hanging onto a mouse - that's what I occasionally fed my spiders. Nope!

Those two pictures are not the same spider.

P..ppp....ppp..possum?!?

Yeah, cuz, you know, whose house doesn't have possums roaming around them . . . unless they invite them in to feed the big-ass spider

I don’t mind occasional spiders in the house as they do keep the insects in check. But when it’s big enough to walk off with the dog, time for it to relocate...

Yeah, might be as big as a dog, but tougher to get a leash on.

@chalupacabre how cool would that be walking it down the street!😎

@Canndue Here we come, walking down the street, get the funniest looks from everyone we meet

I'm not going to be able to sleep nights for a while.

I don't have creepy crawley pets. No reason to start now either.

I hope they part happy! I just cannot handle having creepy crawlers walking on me when I am trying to sleep! Lol

I usually like to think that I like spiders, but they are usually smaller than this. I am not sure I could live with one of these living in the same space as myself.
There was also a post some time ago, where a woman from Australia posted a picture of the neighborhood python Now I do not like snakes at all but if there is a good reason for one to be near me, and it is not dangerous to me or anything other that I care about, then perhaps I could share my life with a snake. I lived for a while where rattlesnakes were prevalent. I almost stepped on one while out about five miles from anyone else. Fortunately, that snake was more afraid of me than I of it, as it disappeared in the time I took to jump and return to the ground.

My pet tarantula went missing for a couple days. Looked all over for it! Finally found it when I was about out the door and put my arm down my jacket sleeve. Tarantulas are burrowers.
