Probably get the COVID vaccine this week or the next.
I'm still not 0% on it but I'll do it anyway.
Anyone else in line or has gotten it?

I'm an NP in hospital medicine and I will get it the second it's available.

I started feeling sick around noon Sun. Saw Urgent Care Mon. am. Got tested twice for Covid, with first one negative and the last one from Mon. got informed yesterday it was positive. I am slowly feeling a little better each day, today is day four with symptoms.I'm pretty sure I was infected Sat. afternoon., but the person is a stranger from my condo community who is probably also sick by now and in quarantine, like me. Tomorrow morning I get the monocolonal infusion therapy for three hours. The doc that treated me on Mon. called me this morning to recommend it and I'm doing it because he's been good for me so far, it won't cost anything, and he said it's what Trump and some big wigs had. I'm eligible because I'm 62, have atril fib and also minor hypertension at times. Doc says it should prevent my mild symptoms so far stay that way and shorten my infection period if it's given within seven days of symptoms, earlier the better. I'll update later. Right now I'm willing to be vaccinated this summer, when my turn likely comes around, if the data for next year support it that far.

Yes, TODAY (Henley on Thames ,UK) . Absolutely no problem ,feeing or regret . I trust science but know it can go wrong. Knowing how it can go wrong is the best defence against it going wrong.

I would think all health care workers should be vaccinated. I have a bunch of allergies so will check with my Doc. Since the election the trump supporters around here have gone fuck it, 40 or so new cases a day. Doing as they please. The early morning shoppers wear masks later in the day lots of masks below their noses. There are restrictions from the gov but since he is a dem and throughly loathed in this republican county it's clear from the on going number of new cases they are not following the guidelines. No clue if they will take the vaccine. I fear if the governor asks everyone to take it they won't just 'cause it's him asking.

Waiting for it here

I am hoping I will be offered it early in January....here in the U.K. they’re doing the oldest first, especially those in Nursing and Residential Homes...I’m 75 so think it’ll be reasonably soon. As soon as I’m offered it I will definitely take it.

I spoke to a friend who is a medical doctor and asked him if he was looking forward to getting the new vaccine and his response was a brief: "Hmm!" Not his usual characteristic enthusiasm.

Scheduled for mine tomorrow.

I've likely got the antibodies (still need to get that test) but gonna get vaxxed anyway when it comes around.

My friend got it today. Says it is making her arm very sore and weak feeling. But she is in her late eighties and rather frail. In the UK people of my age ( 63 ) have still got to wait several months for their turn to come round. There is a bit of a debate going on here about whether, they should treat the elderly and in danger first, or go for the young most active spreaders to try for herd immunity.

Reward the heedless asshats? I think Not!

@AnneWimsey Which means in the U.S. they'll get it first 😟. Health care workers first!!
