Luckily the tsunami watch for Hawaii was canceled at 12:20pm, though I was looking forward to watching the 4 inch wave come in from my lanai. Glad that we have prediction capabilities to be prepared for emergencies with so much advance notice.

This was an 8.1. Thank goodness it's a low population center. French Polynesia is in jeopardy, the last I saw. [cnn.com]
