Yes, I agree and as History has shown very clearly " ALL Great Nations/Empires will eventually collapse under their weight, arrogance, stupidity, etc, etc."
One, imo, ONLY needs to take a good look with an OPEN mind at the Roman Empire, the once British Empire, the once Spanish Empire or any other of those 'Empires.'
Each and every one of them sowed the seeds of their OWN destruction almost from the word go and the U.S. has done nothing different, whether Americans choose to believe it or not, their Nation is crumbling from the inside outwards just as did the Soviet Union ( read Empire), the British Empire, etc, etc.
Piece by piece they all collapsed and the U.S. is, and will be, no different.

I disagree. Our society was being threatened by the reactionary rabble being incited by Trump. But,. now that Biden is proving how caring and competent he he and his administration are, the danger is ebbing rapidly. True representative democracy is healing and bing restored in the USA. It is surviving a real test. Britain can also survive this crisis if it acts similarly. We have to prove to our people that we can and will provide a better vision for now and for the future.

Sorry BUT TRUE Democracy is as FAR and REMOTE from the American System of Government and Elections as the Earth is from the very edge of the Universe itself.

@Triphid Our democracy is far from prfect. But, it is on its way to healing and improvement. If you will wait for the Biden adminisraqtion to truly act and suspend premature judgement, you will see so.

@wordywalt even with Biden doing the best he can, you don't have a real democracy. You have more of an elected dictatorship and as truee representative democracies on this planet rate, the US one is well down the list. In the top 20 full democracies in the world, the US doesn't even make the list.

@Cyklone I agree with you 110% on that.
How can the U.S. 'claim' to be a Democracy when it places ALL the Decisive Powers, etc, in the hands of just ONE person, aka its President?
The TRUE meaning of Democracy as devised by the Ancient Greeks was, " The Rule of the People, BY the People and For the People."
And most definitely NOT, as we see these days, " The Rule of the Few, For the Few over the Many."

"Your society was being threatened by the reactionary rabble incited by tRump ....: " was it?
Friend it goes far, far further back than just the tRump years I'm sorry to say.
Remember the Civil War, The Spanish American War, etc, etc, the Race Riots of the mid-20th. Century, etc, the K.K.K. and ALL of the rest.
WHEN you have NOT been at an UNDECLARED War with each other then you've been at WAR with anyone else you can find that IS NOT like yourselves.
Your economy is BUILT mainly upon ARMAMENT Manufacturing and Sales, the ENTIRELY FALSE Belief that the U.S. IS the Divine Bringer of Democracy to the Universe and EVERYTHING within it. i.e. the CONCEPT of " Cavalry Coming to the Rescue" and YET you still cannot even manage to rescue yourselves from yourselves.
Remember 1939 to 1945, especially the years from 1939 to early December, 1941 when the world was TEARING itself apart, YES, WWII, it HAD been going for the better part of 2 ( TWO) whole years BEFORE Japan Attacked Pearl Harbour?
Where was the U.S, in those years, sitting back, watching, doing almost Sweet Fuck All BECAUSE it did NOT want to upset its home-grown Nazi Sympathizers, that's where it was and what it was doing.
So Democratic and Caring of the U.S. wasn't it?
