This is a comment I made on FB in response to an article about people being converted to cults after being inspired Fox News: "That's how I feel about everyone who wears his/her religion on their sleeve . I feel that I have nothing in common with them and that we could never connect intellectually. The only difference between religious people and cult followers is that, rather than sharing their beliefs with fellow cult-followers, they evangelize to anyone who will listen. Conversely, they are stubbornly resistant to change, as are cult members. It is interesting to listen to the occasional radio interview with some cult-follower who has had a sudden epiphany and left the . It's as if they have been living in a dream or a deep well of obfuscation and suddenly snapped out of a trance. But until this spontaneous enlightenment occurs, they remain deaf to reason."

It’s also just part of human nature to a large extent.

My ex husband has joined an Indian cult. He is trying to save the world.

He’ll fail miserably.

Most religious people are deaf to reason. They have a fantasy world that is subjective reality.

I think that anyone who would believe religious nonsense would have no problem believing most any other nonsense that comes along.

Probably why so my Ivangelicals are QAnonsensers
