I always oppose that openly

I do my best to treat people as I want to be treated regardless of their ethnicity or any other characteristic.

I have often supported ethnic culture events and marches for equality and will continue to do more. Importantly I just learned that my phone camera can be of immeasurable help regarding racist activity and I plan to use it when needed.

Do what you can, when you can.
Your safety and your families security may be insurmountable obstacles to the kind of participation you envision but you can still help more than you know. First of all be as politically aware as possible, keep your responses as safe and effective as possible. You become a hero by not being a hero. Keep your smart phone camera ready, a video recording by a teen just put a murderer away. If you can’t otherwise be politically active then at least vote and sign petitions, be sure to understand them. Three strikes sounded good because the adds said “violent” criminals but that’s not defined in law so now California prisons are still overcrowded due to faulty public perceptions.
So please be aware, informative if you get the opportunity and vote but most of all keep safe, we’re fighting for survival we have enough martyrs already.
