The people that called conservatives Nazis are now asking for your papers.

That’s some funny shit right there.

There is a difference for a Fascist government to keep track of people and look for dissenters and a democratic government trying to keep people safe. Problem is, too few of us understand that the biggest threat to our form of government is threatened by more of us being added to an already overburdened land. It should be plain to see for those who care enough to look.

Love to see it challenged in the US Supreme Court. Constitutionality is being thrown out the window here

Also, no vaccine, no public school attendance! Connecticut, home of common sense!

Well, and a grand a month in prop taxes eh

@bbyrd009 ummm, not at all unless in a mansion near NYC.
We have free Oceanfront Parks with Tennis Courts. other Parks with Ballfields, sledding in winter, hiking trails, launch ramps, Pavillions near bathrooms to use for gatherings ,also an oceanside mansion i could rent for 4 hours for $100, with full kitchen & plenty of free parking. .Police, firetrucks and ambulance, All 3 show up together within 2 minutes of a call.
Garbage & recycling pickup 1x week each, excellent sidewalk & road maintainence including beautification.
Snow plowiing is Wonderful, they go 24/7 if needed
Our own Utility Company, cheaper electricity & superb response. In 47 years i have seen 2 power outages, once for 20 minutes, once for an "outrageous" 2.5 hours....my Mom in the next town had Nothing for over 4 days that time!
Oh and free live concerts with dancing on a double-sized basketball court in summer, in the spacious Municipal building gym in winter. Sponsored Farmer's Markets with free parking in season.
Annnd etc etc....just about $250/ month for me, sadly my alimony puts me over the limit for a substantial tax reduction, although i can still get free home & yard maintenance & repair through the "Keep Seniors in their Homes" program.
How's your town?

@AnneWimsey well cool! Conn is one of the few NE states I really spent no time in; nice to hear taxes aren’t as bad as your neighbors! RI, yikes! I’m in ski country, Colo, so i guess primitive by comparison prolly

@bbyrd009 We all pay property taxes to support the public schools. Here, for a while, they were being covered by lumber sales but as more and more people came in (and especially those from outside the US) the more sales were needed. However, too many trees were cut and the logging had to be better managed so property taxes (and gambling) were added to fund schools. I came from a family of 7 kids and there was no way our property taxes could pay for all of us to attend school. Again, more evidence that population growth is unsustainable and cuts into our way of life.

You do not need a religious vaccine exemption. Whether or not you get vaccinated is entirely up to you.

For the religious sheep it is up to their leader or their 'god'.

Well, imo, IF you want to chance your luck and play Russian Roulette with the C-19 virus then be my Guest, BUT NO complaining when the chamber with the bullet in it lines up with the hammer.

"jeopardizes herd immunity" lol, pls

You have no idea what that means, do you?!?

@AnneWimsey ha, you might be surprised Anne...suffice it to say that “herd immunity” is likely a myth anyway, but yes i have no idea what they are saying, i agree. Tbh I think “herd immunity” has been um weaponized, and the definition warped anyway, esp if it now means that a vaxxed person might become symptomatic via exposure to a contagious person (who btw might also be vaccinated)?

are they even hearing themselves, i wonder

@bbyrd009 you could Google it, it IS a thing.

@AnneWimsey ya, well so is “transgender” Anne
fwiw you can also Google “herd immunity myth”

don’t get me wrong, imo the definition is just being manipulated now

It is unfortunate that there is no vaccine against culpable stupidity.

It’s probably our diversity in responses that keeps us vital though

Fantastic news, a WIN for Reason over Religion and Religiosity.
