When has a dead person cared about their burial?

I’m donating myself to science.

Some of us do not want a burial, or a funeral, at all. This WAS a new one to me, though.

I think I am donating my body to Texas State University and their forensic dept. It doesn't cost me or anyone else a penny. My brother and his wife have already done this.

I have signed up for the same with ASU. If for some reason they do not accept my body, my heir knows to cremate and toss the remains in the trash...proving all those who have referred to me as. “White trash” to be correct.

When I die, it won't matter what happens to my body.

It will matter to someone.

@MsKathleen That will be for the living to decide.

@xenoview The living would like to know if you have a preference. If you don’t, you should tell them.

I totally get that I'd be dead, but somehow I just don't want my remains to be burned up. Maybe I need to watch some educational videos or something...

i want to have whatever energy can be teased from my remains into a pulse of light that in binary form reads "howdy". i just don't know where to aim it.

Maybe we will know by the time you die.

I don’t care at all about what happens to my body after I’m dead. Just give it enough time to reach room temperature in case I decide not to go yet.

There IS that.
