Dawkins is a brilliant evolutionary biologist. His views on religion are objective and mostly irrefutable. He is, however, an elitist and abhors any form of populism.

What Dawkins misses is that Russia deployed a massive social media campaign to influence the Brexit vote and by all accounts obtained success from its efforts. The steadfast refusal to revisit Brexit knowing so many people were misled shows how deeply Putin has recruited senior members of British government.
That Putin uses populism against the democracies against themselves speaks poorly of populist elections. After Brexit, Putin did the same thing to our country, installing his puppet, Trump.
But shouldn't we all abhor populism which gives democracies demagogues and strongmen?
