Wow. Trump's even found a way to make Father's Day about himself.

Everything is about him, didn't you get the memo?

This is from two years ago. I mean, he's still a narcissistic asshole, but at least he's not tweeting anymore.

@Dyl1983 Lol, nothing like calling people losers and then saying you hope everyone can come together. He is the world's biggest loser right now. I hope he had a miserable day.

I wonder what his credit score is.

I fucking hate that man and everyone who voted for him.

I hate that people voted for him, I don't hate people that voted for him. Not necessarily.

I blame them, but as @barjoe said, I don't hate them. But trump? yeah.... no love for that bag of feces

@barjoe Eh, to me that's distinction without a difference. I think I'd actually go the opposite way as you guys did. I hate the people that they are that just so happened to result in a vote for Trump. Trump will die someday, and hopefully we'll eventually recover from the damage he did with his presidency. But those awful fuckin' people are still gonna be awful and likely raise awful offspring.

@TheoryNumber3 See, I disagree. He isn't really the problem. They are the problem. If he didn't come along, and frankly, bend a lot to their will, someone else would have (and will again).
This meme I made sums it up.

@JeffMurray I'm not sure what you think I said, but I believe we're saying the same thing in different ways. There will always be idiots looking for a bigger idiot to lead them.

@TheoryNumber3 Thought you were saying that you may blame the Trumpers, but you don't hate them, while you do hate Trump. I was saying I blame and hate the Trumpers, and while I fuckin' despise Trump himself, I don't blame him as much as them.

@JeffMurray I get it... maybe "blame" is the wrong word.... I find him one of the most abominable characters I've had the pleasure to NOT know personally. But here's the difference. His followers are either racists, opportunists looking to raise their power or their portfolio by pushing the propaganda, or they're just plain pathetically stupid . The leaders they follow, on the other hand, are hateful manipulative despots.

@TheoryNumber3 If this is still a "democracy" then those who put this "bigger idiot" in power are to blame for the damage. THEY are his power and, therefore, the one's to hate. He's merely giving them what they put him in power to do. If you don't hate them then you can't hate him. Jeff is right and you're not saying "the same thing in different ways." You're just trying to avoid being wrong.

Hating requires energy.

I use my energy to oppose what they do or want to do.

@yvilletom Does it? I feel like I can hate pretty passively. It's a back-burner type of hate that just simmers indefinitely in the hopes that if the day comes I have the opportunity for revenge, I can bring that pot to a rolling boil in no time.

@JeffMurray Simmering requires energy. Watching for the opportunity for revenge requires energy. Bringing the pot to a boil requires energy. Denying what you’re doing requires energy.

At 41 you have energy. Use it in any way you like.

@yvilletom Are we taking about actual physical energy, or like a euphemistic "energy"?

@JeffMurray Do you need an answer?

@yvilletom Need? No. Would I like one? Yes, please.

@JeffMurray I'm glad you don't need one. Bye.

@yvilletom With a rude answer like that I don't imagine I would have gotten one no matter what I said.

@JeffMurray If you had needed a reply I would have said I need you to explain your rhetorical question and tell me in detail how a euphemistic "energy" differs from actual physical energy.

@yvilletom Well, passively hating people doesn't really require any more actual energy than anything else you could be keeping in the back of your mind. 'Keeping an eye out' for an opportunity for revenge doesn't really require any more actual energy than pretty much any other passive activity either. So to claim I'm wasting energy, especially an amount that could be repurposed into combating some grave injustice, is inaccurate at best.
If you were claiming it took the mystical "energy" people talk about routinely, the "I can't even" crowd, so to speak, I'd have just called it nonsense and dismissed your point.

Unless there's something in missing? I'm open to hearing your explanation...
