I admit I am finding it really hard to feel too sad about this. Great that his friends heeded his deathbed advice to get vaccinated But what the shit?!? News media clearly is still not trusted as having viable news. The stupidity and defiance is appalling. Just watch: Come midterms, the blatant proven deadly falsehoods of Right-wingers won't even phase too many enough to change their votes. I am sick of facts counting for absolutely nothing among a huge mass of voters.

Just guess who all those clowns voted for? The same who think skyfairies and “Angels with wings”are real. So, no surprise.

We also had a case this week of a well known much loved local man in his seventies, who was staunchly anti-vax... caught covid, had to be transported to Oahu for treatment, and still died. His father (TV Celebrity Peter Marshall from Hollywood Squares) put out a message on social media about the loss of his "free spirited" son, and urged everyone to get vaccinated.

So, sad, that this local man, who forwent his option to get vaccinated to support his cause (the anti-vax movement) actually died making his death a reason TO be vaccinated.

Very sad all around - and hopefully a FEW more people will get vaccinated, but a whole lot more will dig in deeper to their beliefs that the vaccine causes more deaths than it saves. Can't help those unwilling to help themselves.

I often quote Peter saying, "This might work out." Sorry he had such a crappy kid but happy the kid's gone. The grief will probably kill Peter, too.

While many of his friends and family on the north shore of Kauai are grieving his death, gathering in mourning, plus the other community cases that have gone undetected, now there is a cluster of new cases, emanating out of a famous and popular restaurant in Hanalei. They are asking all those who circulated through to get tested. Let's hope some of them also get vaccinated, if they test negative. We actually have a lot of people here who secretly got vaccinated, but don't want to advertise it, due to not wanting to upset their anti-vax friends. Crazy mindset.

Natural selection. Bye stupid, lying Trump supporters!

You won't be missed.

The Evangelical Trumpers love that their memes are appallingly stupid. That is their middle-finger to the intellectuals that they hate. It is the loyalty to these idiotic memes that defines their identity, and loyalty to the 'colony' of GQPism. Claiming Covid is a scamdemic is supposedly cute, but also provides a whopper for the liar's club to dance around. Except that it's an existential threat to everyone else.

And who supports the coup caucus cult-leaders? One of the major corporate supporters is none other than Pfizer!!! But think about it, if the GQP can prolong the pandemic long enough, it will hang around forever like the flu, and Pfizer's product is needed forever, rather than for a few years.

The GQP depend on Citizens United which makes support of sedition completely laundered. The fallacy is that a single shareholder, the real owners of the corporation, were ever polled as to whether they should support sedition instigators.

My feelings exactly

All time favorite meme!
