Can somebody, anybody, please explain to me what it is with the mental defectives who are convinced that there will be a second coming of Donald Trump as President?
As to why is complicated, but we do know that 75 million mental defectives votes for him in 2020 in the sick puppy country previously known as the 'United' States of America, and I have no doubt will again if given a third chance to do so. I think 'what it is with the mental defectives' is they want their country to be an authoritarian oligarchic dictatorship in the vane hope that Trump will make the trains run on time.
But seriously, it's not these people really, who are dupes. Truth is, the fascist wing of the American ruling class has decided they are tired of making the pretense of having a 'democracy', albeit a sham one, and would rather save time and have a Putin-like oligarchic rule. I further think they made this decision after Obama won the Presidency, believing that if they don't take over then more of these 'undesirables' might rise up and take more and more power. So, they used their TV fool and buffoon Trump to win, will use him again, and if that doesn't work find another populist moron to distract Americans. In studying America it's better not to look at the puppets but rather at the puppet masters.
Trump is, in many ways, the embodiment of many conservative ideals. He is wealthy, a racist, a bigot, a misogynistic womanizer, married to a empty headed trophy wife, and is a Christian by claim. He is callous, hateful, a bully, loud-mouthed, self-centered, and utterly lacking in sympathy or compassion for others. Trump is essentially the conservative messiah. So, to me, its easy to understand how conservatives adore and worship him. He is everything they wish to be.

Race baiting clap trap. Fear mongering and a continuous stream of lies purported to be truth.
What you ask for here is very hard to explain but it has to do with wishful thinking, Q nonsense, a certain set of religious dogma, and a belief that Donald Trump both liked and hated the same things he spoke to others about at his many rallies. People were conditioned to believe but those that did also wanted to believe. The big problem is that they still do.
