Their names evolve. My older cat, Oreo, is called Bitchy Kitty. The younger cat, Shark Bait, is called Kitten or Precious. My Dog, Forrest Tucker Snickerdoodle Floofy Weasle Rossnik is called Pooper Do.

A friend has a 3 year old cat, Kendrick, named after the musican who recently won a Pulitzer.

I never use nicknames for either people or pets, but when I was five in Haiti I had a beautiful American tuxedo cat named "Bootsie" that we began calling "Momma Cat" after a couple of litters.

In Haiti, the stringy feral tabby cats are eaten by locals so they are rare. Because of this, any cats the white missionaries could manage to get were highly valued, especially ones with different coloring, and there were always waiting lists for Bootsie's kittens.

Yes. Many. ? Actual pet names for my pets. But seriously, I call my cat Devlin a few names like Dev, Devi, Devi-kins. My parents do the same with their pets so I was taught. My husband does it too and always has.
