Many dogs are good judges of human character, and even have superior character to a lot of humans.

Yes that’s correct all they needed is human love and someone who really cares about them, they are peaceful and amazing when they feel at home

Lol.
I suspect that most men will want you to love them. Beware! Have a read of #MagicPudding.

I don't because I don't have one.

Well you should get one and they are the best friend you can get

@hillaryD

Yes, thank you, I have heard and fully believe it but I am not the best candidate to have a dog. I am out of a lot including out of town and country. I would just pay others to dog sit. Plus I manage to have a long list of things to do, so it would be hard to have time to feed him, walk him or play. Hats off to you and others who have the time for it. I always wondered how people have the time for pets although it's an admirable thing to do... when we have stray people sitting, sleeping, living on sidewalks, under bridges and roads in rain, cold, snow and high heat in one of the richest countries in the world. I haven't figured that out yet. Have you?

@St-Sinner Not just dogs all animals need someone to care for them but dogs are this special type of animal who need more human care, humans who could not get care can at least get a job and go of the street but dogs can’t

@hillaryD

We have stray people, hungry, cold and homeless in America and your high priority is dogs. You want dogs to be taken care of in humans' bedrooms and living rooms because they cannot get jobs? What makes you think dogs cannot live on own? They did for thousands of years.

That's what Saddam Hussein asked in an interview with Barbara Walters in 1992.... I heard you take care of dogs and cats well in your country, so why would you bomb millions of innocent women and children in my country?

But sadly that's exactly what we did. That's who we are. Screwed up priorities.

Your assumption that homeless humans can get jobs is not true. Think war veterans who got hurt fighting for us, to keep us and your dog safe at home. Many veterans are hurt mentally deeply and cannot even take care of basic needs, are hungry, cold, sick and homeless. They pee amd shit in their pants under a bridge in a very rich country on this planet. You suggest dogs come before them and hurt and helpless veterans should get jobs and we take care of dogs?

@St-Sinner I think you got me totally wrong, I am never that type of person who don’t take human more important than animals, I am just saying I am an animal lover and I feels people could get a job to take care of them selves and it’s my personal love for animals but just dogs. While growing up it was with a lot of animals like donkeys,cows,dogs,cat and all and again I do volunteering for the homeless and half of my salaries goes into that

I love my dog too

twill Level 7 Oct 18, 2021

What his/her name ?

@hillaryD Johnny (That's not him in the photo....that's Nugget, my ex wife/ son's dog).

What's your dog's name?

@twill Joe and I have had him for 5 years now

@hillaryD Joe's a good looking boy !

Joe is my son's name & he really is Johnny's #1 human....I am probably #3 in the dog's rank. He loves kids best, (protector) but I'm his primary caretaker
We got Johnny 3 years ago this upcoming week. The shelter said he was 10 months old. IDK ! He has not grown even one bit...I wonder if he is a year older than that.

So based on what they told us, I peg his birthday @ Xmas, easy to remember. He will either be 4 or 5 on Dec. 25th
