I agree there are UK equivalents . I am just worried that by saying BS or Bollocks it cuts off proper discussion and analysis that would give us the real light on what is the real problem.

I hear you, and that's exactly what those expressions are used for especially on social media. You may say 'That' bollocks/BS!' during the conversation you are having with your mates, say, at the pub, but you are not gonna cut off the conversation and walk away immediately; you won't do that in the real world, but you can do that in the virtual world. Don't waste your time on those people who use BS as the last word and walk away so to speak on social media.

Jokes are actually very instructive if you analyse them well . Ricky Gervais' jokes are very deep.

As a teenager I spent every night listening to international short wave radio stations, getting the world news from 10 or more perspectives. Yeah, my bullshit detector is well developed too.
