BA.1 or BA.2 are each dominate strains depending on the areas they are in. One area may have one of them while another area has another.

The only major question remaining is "How lethal is it?"

Even if less lethal at the individual level it could infect far more people than in previous waves and thus kill comparable numbers of people.

@Scott321 I suppose 1% of 100 people is the same as 2% of 50 people.

@Scott321 The two graph lines actually look pretty close together, so I wouldn't make that big a deal about one variant over the other.
