Hyundai Santa Fe uses DOT 4 brake fluid which is much more flammable Than DOT 3. Short in Anti Lock Brake system can cause fires of there's a brake line leak. KIA has same problem. Korean war vets should never buy a Korean car that is an acronym for Killed In Action..Tesla also has a fire hazard and the fact it plugs in overnight can make house fires unavoidable.

The problem is microscopic, no one needs change their behavior because of it.

@Druvius 500K vehicles is not microscopic. All cars have recalls so I won't fault them. Hyundai and Kia are nice cars when they're new, they fall apart as they age.

@barjoe 3 fires out of millions of car years, microscopic. They warned peeps and issued a recall, corporate responsibility.

I'm happy with my Mazda.

A big corporation doing the responsible thing, nice to see for a change.

I hope they recall and fix them ASAP.
