Subject inflation. A broadcast today reminded me of why we are in this situation. NPR had a piece of how we dealt with this in the past. [npr.org] For me, I have made it a mission to reduce my consumerism. During this time of stress the tendency is to buy stuff and that has led to shortages and inflation. Again, we are often our own worst enemies.

There are many things I feel quite fine doing without. And while everyone is screaming and crying about inflation, gambling stocks and casinos are raking in huge profits. Super Bowl betting is expected to hit new records. It’s all relative.

I knew this was coming, that is why I live in an off grid community.

If you were truly off-grid you couldn't post on here, or anywhere, duuuuuhhhhhhh

@AnneWimsey

Have little faith.
Have you heard of satellite Internet , it's weak and hard to edit, yet it works.
I love my animals , more than most people , so it balances out perfectly.

@Castlepaloma sooooooo, you constructed & launched your very own satellite, to hook into.....That grid?

@AnneWimsey

Did lived in the largest eco village off grid in Canada plus lived In BC and Saskatchewan, Belize now Nova Scotia eco villages. Sold nine tiny houses, most complete with rocket stove/heater, solar energy, water system and satellite.. This eco village right now has 20 members unvaxxed, 3 huge dogs and Untold number of defenses from robot/zombie apocalypse.

@Castlepaloma avoiding the above questions, I see, & still using the grid to post.....

@AnneWimsey

Used internet satellite in every eco village. It can be used anywhere in the world, it connects to satellite that is orbiting the earth. I use science for everything.

This time of stress is much shorter than the 40+ years during the Cold War when we didn’t know if the US and the USSR might soon be dropping nuclear weapons on each other.
