I thought it was a bit rich when they joined the diplomatic boycott of the Olympics at Beijing. For human right abuses and alleged genocide mind you, in China of all places.

I think all nations should make amends for their war crimes. I don't know of any nation that has not committed atrocities at some time in their history, some more atrocious than others.

@Matias I agree. The Irish have been the whipping boy of Great Britain for centuries, and the Scots didn't fare much better. The Swiss have been peaceful as long as I can remember. So yes, there are exceptions to every rule.

Not quite but the Bataan Death March will go down as the worst atrocity American GIs ever had done to them. The Nazis were hardly benevolent tho.

I remember as a kid, my dad, a WWII vet, flipped out when Nixon met with Hirohito. He said they didn't have to drop the A-Bomb on Japan but they should've executed Hirohito and their generals.
