If time travel were possible, when would you go?
The future for sure. Like 400 years. Curious to see what’s different and what’s not.
It’s the potential time paradox that bothers me!
@craigywaigy Well in an entirely hypothetical question, I don’t worry that much. ?
Woodstock
OH, I can only wish...
@buzz13 we could go together I'll bring the brownies
Alright! I'm coming too.
@Kojaksmom But leave the Brown acid at home. I'll bring the Sangria.
@StylisticIdiot great!
According to clever types is time travel is possible then you can only travel within your own experience....so your own sentinent life. I would go and tell my friend to stop working so hard, stop smoking and eat food. I would tell my Mum to check herself for CA. I think there is a chance we could if we make super clever PC models oh the past and recreate him.
Too many choices here. How many times do I get to time shift?
I guess if you can time travel, why not as many times as you like?
@StylisticIdiot , Prevent the worst in human mistakes? But then, humanity would have learned nothing. Witness some of the greatest moments in history? A bit selfish but then, maybe I could record them for future generations. Oh hell, I'm just going to go back in time and poke Hitler in the eye.
@chucklesIII that's the spirit!
I think you meant where not when. So that being the case I would go where you were just before you typed your posting in, so I could warn you and you would have type when. In that case my present me would not have been interested in the question, therefore I would not have had to go back to begin with.
Ahh, but then you would have time travelled some more- because "when" was very much intentional... I thought it was appropriate to say when, instead of where, because we're talking about time travel, after all... We would have had a good laugh, and then you would realize there are some other whens to visit.
@StylisticIdiot ahhhhh... Its actually very subtle and now with your comment I actually see it. Anyhow, if it was possible then I would go to the future, no doubt. Lets say, 200 years from today. How things will look like in 2218? Not that far and yet far enough....
If I could only go back in time I don’t think I would.
But you could travel to any time, past or future!
I’d go way, way, way into the future to see how technology has advanced
Back to when my ex-father-in-law had sex with my ex-mother-in-law that conceived of my ex-wife. I'd offer him a condom, if he didn't take and use it, I'd do a "Lorena Bobbitt" on him. I won't try to kill either of them, the rest of her siblings are sane.
Right now. Where? Outer space, the ultimate high!
Nice!
question: Do you mean just on Earth? Or, are we giving a nod to the Doctor and saying, 'All of Space and Time - everything that ever was or ever will be. Where would you like to go?'
Why not? No, not limited to here on Earth
@StylisticIdiot If that's the case - I want to see it all!
Back when early man created a relationship with wolves...hell ya!
Yeah... I'd like to go back to meet the other hominids we shared the planet with. Hang with Neanderthals, maybe have a few beers
I would want to see the future, of course; but I think I'm maybe more interested in the distant past... I can't think of anything more interesting than to check in on Earth at million year intervals. How cool would it be to observe evolution from the start?! And, to interact with the earliest hominids... I'd especially like to be in Europe, when H. Sapiens, and Neanderthals were there together... That's when I think I'd most like to go.
