Darn near crapped my y-fronts about an hour ago.
Decided to let the birds have an extra free meal seeing as how it is Friday.
So went out, shook all the dirt, etc, from their feeding dish, it sits on the ground because most natives birds in the region of Australian are ground-feeders btw, then went to the container and scooped out the regular measure of seed, placed the dish back on the ground and started to walk away as per usual.
Then from nowhere comes this voice, with a definite vocal sounding to that one often associated with a Corella that has been a pet and taught to talk, "Bewdy Cobber, about bloody time," is what I hear, I look around and there is this very well fed and kept Corella toddling along up the path behind he.
I managed to catch him/her, found an i.d. ring on the hind leg, got him/her into an empty and unused cage, gave it some seed and water then rang the owners who came and collected Ned about 10 ,imutes later.
It seems that, like its Aussie Bushranger namesake, their Ned loves to go a-wandering and then their job is to come, collect him and take him back to his huge, mansion-like aviary.

That would have been fun to see. You got scolded by a bird. 😉 What a treat. 🙂

Every day is an adventure for you! 😁
