Trump himself is only a symptom, not the cause. However, as with a nasty cold, it is perfectly reasonable to treat the symptoms. The treatment against conspiracy to defraud the United States is five years in a federal prison and a fine of $250,000 (18 U.S.C. § 371).

And then there could be civil lawsuits...

The Dems won't do it because they don't want to risk the same thing happening to them in the future BUT the Trumpers will want to lynch at least a few Dems just to feed the bloodlust of their fan base.
@SnowyOwl What Trump did was unprecedented. I don't think it is reasonable to assume that Dems will ever want to try it. Especially not if these perps go to jail for it.
