Now I really understand why Biden was Obama's chosen successor. Like Obama, he can spew the most ridiculous twaddle in service of the empire and look serious and presidential while doing so. No, this war shows the need for the US to engage in diplomacy with other countries when there are conflicts, and to fulfill our agreements and promises. Neither of which the US has any intention of doing no matter how many foreigners are killed and displaced as a result. And China is 100% correct.

I wish they’d recognize Taiwan as an independent country and form a defense alliance like NATO to defend it.

Taiwan in NOT an independent country, it's a province off China in revolt. They will be reunited someday, it's just a matter of how. Granted there are places all over the Earth who would love to be independent or join a neighboring country, but the US doesn't give a crap unless it's in their imperial interests to do so.
