I'm leaning towards "the new normal." Most of CA and NV should never have been watered. They're deserts, and to the desert they will return.

What should never have happened is our driving up the concentration of atmospheric CO2 beyond anything seen in the last 850,000 years (as far back as ice core data goes). This drought, its depth and severity, is largely a human-made crisis.

@Flyingsaucesir Oh, fer sure. We as a people have been totally ruining the earth for our short term gains.
