I often wonder what turned my Dad from the Catholic church. As the youngest male with a very religious mom and really fucking abusive drunk father he was slated for the priesthood. He was kicked out of school for smoking, was in WWII and by the time he met mom was an atheist. I wish I had spent more time talking with him.

When are people finally going to wake up and start to quit trusting clergy? Anyone claiming to be a preacher of a god should have to submit with a background check. And that check needs to be done repeatedly.
