I’m optimistic realist or a pessimistic idealist. I’m not sure which.

I am pessimistic. This has always been detrimental for me .In a few instances when I was younger this prevented me from accepting jobs ,persuing certain relationships etc

An optimist is wrong more times than they are right.

A pessimist is right more times than they are wrong.

But a pragmatic person like myself. Will hope for the best and prepare for the worst. That we we are always prepared for anything and we can just wait to see what will happen with a smile on our face and some music playing in the background.

I am an optimist aware that shit happens and that there's, even more, shit I can't control, so I choose not to worry and focus on the now.

I try to be as optimistic as my realism will allow. If you set your expectations low enough, you'll never be disappointed, and lower still, you'll always be pleasantly surprised.

Optimistic Pessimist....Everything is always bad, so when it is I am glad I am right, and when it isn't, I am glad it isn't bad....I like to hedge my bets.
