I hope Sam Bankman-Fried and his gang get the punishment they deserve for the massive financial fraud they have committed. His parents are Stanford law profs and his company was the second highest donor to the democratic party. Hopes are slim, but not nill.

Nope, they are part of the club, as George Carlin used to put it, rich and politically connected. Those kind of folks, whether they are Repub or Dem, never go to prison, unless, like Bernie Madoff, they commit the unforgiveable sin of stealing from other members of the club..
