Facebook has it's quirks, but they're attempting to limit patently untrue information, as well as violence. Granted, they didn't put the energy into programming their bots that was needed, and utilized a live workforce of non-English speakers who have difficulty understanding the nuances of English so punishments have been erratic and irrational.

Actually, you came on to this site with seemingly no other interest than trashing Facebook which is curious. Here's news: we're here because we know what Facebook is, and we either use it or don't use it based on our own priorities. We're giving you the opportunity to discuss your opinion, not to stop using Facebook because you have demanded we do so.

@Qwent-91 Both FB and Twitter are going the extreme opposite direction as far as content moderation from where they were in 2020. Lkely it's to do with corporate cowardice as much as anything; knowing the House Republicans are planning all sorts of Benghazi-style waste-of-time "investigations" (in quotes, because it's nothing to do with learning anything, all to do with scoring propaganda points), they are anxiously turning their backs on fact-checking and controlling the right-wing falsehoods, thereby appeasing people like Green and McCarthy. Twitter is its own special case, of course, with Elon Musk being ideologically committed to "free speech" (except when he doesn't like the speech). The same goes for Trump Social (which is not Truth, it's just Trump). Ironically they are more into censorship than the sites they have accused of it.
