Give me evidential proof of the existence of spirits (other than a good bottle of VSOP) and then we will talk
It is unfortunate that "spiritual" is considered by many as having a religious connotation, as well as many other interpretations. My feeling of spirituality is a value-connection to other sentient beings, to nature, to the world around us. No, I am not fond of all of it, but I don't feel a need to be. Neither do I agree with the 'hubris' concept, as much of that around me is often humbling. I really just don't like all the labels.
“Spiritual” has become one of those words given so many meanings (often based on convenience) that it is left with no meaning at all. That’s besides the unfortunate historical baggage the word is burdened with, which I assume many of us on this site would rather leave behind.
Everything always seems bigger in the dark. Switch the light out, or use an ill defined term, and your speculation can be as big as your vanity wants to imagine it.
By the way, if you believe that "I believe we were put on this Earth as unique individuals for a reason and we should embrace that," does this mean that you are a religious? Just curious.
You'll have to define "put" since it implies action from outside the object moving it into a designated place.
@AtheistInNC my syntax was convoluted. The OP believes that we are "put" on Earth; I do not.
To be "put" on Earth, by default, means that someone/something put us here. I assume that the OP referred to a deity. The OP needs to define "put" as he made the claim.
When spiritual is the 99% unknowns. How is it possible if a human even knows its a spiritual being or high energy being? Or when it's weaker side of a human, is experiencing more ignorance and choas then anything esle. Could be a silly question, I'm sure I will get plenty of silly answers from earthlings, who claim to know.

Who fucking cares, either way? Certainly not me..
We're neither. We're an electron having a bonding experience. Both science and religion have elements (I love puns) of correctness but neither apply themselves to truth well. Science is on the road to looking at the right path for truth but religion has elements of an illusion correct. Just marry the two in a harmless way, which anyone can adopt, and if the majority starts living by that understanding then we'll be rid of many social problems in a few generations.
That indicated that there is something beyond being "human" and spirits exist outside of a body.
They don't.
What is your definition of "spirit"?

What do you mean by spiritual being? Can you prove that we are spiritual?
I guess that the answer to your question lies in the realm of the imagination from where it is occasionally evoked to promote or support some belief system.
