Politicians should be wary when they enter into religious fields, they dabble in politics, the church invented it.

@ChrisAine You missed the point, the politicians are mere amateurs at manipulation while the church is in a league of its own.

A big waste of money in an already poor state. That is about 5% of their gdp.

@ChrisAine In many countries in Africa the leaders have used the natural resources to enrich themselves and their friends. Cyril Ramaphosa in South Africa sits on the board of 150 companies. The countries infrastructure is falling to pieces with loadshedding of more than 12 hours a day.

@ChrisAine Many, if not most, of the poor and uneducated are treated to a tee shirt and loaf of bread just before election time.

@ASTRALMAX Many sports teams, around the world, make tee shirts for championship games and the losing teams' "We Won" shirts get "donated" and often end up in poor African nations.

@ChrisAine I suppose we could a charitable view and say that unlike elections in westen countries the electorate got something. Here we are treated to fine speeches followed by zero accountability.

I'm amazed at the hubris. He made a promise to his god so everyone in the country must contribute. It's disgustingly amazing the shit people try to get away with just be using the word "god".
