Koreans have the longest recorded history of slavery with about 1500 years under their belt. The Japanese are responsible for war crimes and genocide comparible to the holocaust. It's not just us that has a terrible history, it's everyone.

One has to put things into perspective. All civilizations did this throughout historyl This wasn't just an 'American' thing. Perhaps a lesson on 'slavery' would help you all out a little. For the record, I'm not justifying anything done here in the Americas, but it does help to put some context before such claims. Just saying.. 😏[research.cornell.edu]

Good job we civilized the natives and taught them gods word after raping the mothers and killing the fathers.

They also stole children and stuck them permanently in white schools. When someone cuts the hair of a male Sioux they have demeaned him and stolen his manhood. They still believe that. So the religious have fucked up everyone in general and tribes in specific.

Just the way they want it now.

Where is God dare to come down and say those words to me, face to face? That little chicken shit, rape would be the nicest thing, on that list.

This describes any society that wants to make their invisible man the center of their laws. People have blinders on and cannot see the truth. The lie - "America was founded on biblical principles"- is why we see "In God We Trust" on court houses and the back bumpers of police cars. Americans in particular think Moses brought down the laws from that high mountain that god lived on. This myth to them was a beginning of our law. Ignorance is amazing!

The "in god we trust" motto is fairly recent and was not a founding principle. It was introduced during the cold war as a rebuff to those pesky heathen Soviets.

Invoking "god" as supporting you is a time-honoured ploy.
All the more reason for banning religious brain-washing.

There was a line in the movie The New World that stuck with me. In debating whether to sail back home or betray the tribe that helped them, a crewmember shouts defiantly,

"God wants those who will exploit the land to have it!"

The answer, maybe, is to systematically delete some violent, aggressive genes from our genome. They may have been necessary to survive and dominate, but now aren't necessary. More gentle, we can also rid ourselves of capitalism, in favor of socialism, since there'll be no alpha males to frustrate.

I can’t see how socialism would ever work. Even removing genes to stop some urges…we’d have to delete so much we would just be docile.

@antman Good! Docile is good! But not stupid! In fact, maybe smarter since less testosterone to cloud your mind with women and warfare.

From the years 350-700 the Barbarians had a god of war. It goes back a long ways. The killing for, by and about god/s.
"Uthgar, the Battle Father, is the god of barbarians and physical strength. His followers consist of many human tribes collectively termed as the Uthgardt barbarians."
