How is it that a fanatical, religious minority can dictate to the more reasonable majority?
Is education in those states so poor?

I expect a lot of people will be fleeing red states as they race to the bottom creating dystopian versions of 1950 American. Basing law on rigid ideologies generally is pretty ugly, and evangelical christianity is about as dogmatic as it gets,
