1.- Hamas did not kill 1200 Jews because they hate Netanyahu, and the civilians are just collateral damage. They killed them because they hate all Jews. They would have staged the raid even if there was a center-left government in Jerusalem, including the representatives of Arab citizens of Israel
2.- Hamas does not care about its own civilians. They use the money they get from Katar and Iran not to improve the lives of the people living there, but to buy weapons for their next attack. And they use the civilians as living shields to increase the number of casualities
@Flyingsaucesir

That all may be true, but it's because of the original insult of being evicted and then continued building of illegal settlements that Hamas can recruit fighters from the Palestinian population. They've got to find a way to rectify that. Otherwise, this shit will go on.

@Flyingsaucesir
Hamas is not a political organisation like PLO/ Fatah, the latter has been trying to deal / negotiate with Israel in order to improve the situation of the Palestinians. Hamas and Fatah are enemies. After Israel left the Gaza strip in 2006, Fatah was in charge there. Then came Hamas and the two fought a brutal war among Arab "brothers". Hamas won this war and turned the Gaza strip into a launching pad for missiles.
If . like many suggest, Israel ended the occupation of the Westbank as they did with Gaza, the result would be the same: an intra-Palestinian war about control, the most brutal side will win and the Westbank would be turned into a nest for terrorists...
There is nothing Israel can do to defuse the situation. All opportunities for a peaceful co-existence have gone long ago. There have been windows of opportunity during the 1990s and 2000s, but the extremists on both sides made sure that they were closed.

@Thibaud70 Too bad. I'm tired of hearing about their bickering. The world is tired of it.

The US military has maintained a large ammunition stockpile in Israel since the 1970s, which includes everything from bullets to smart bombs. And it is replenished annually.
The US established it in the event that they ever had to intervene directly in a Mid-East war. The Israelis guard it, and in return, are allowed to dip into it as they wish.
Guess where the ammunition comes from that the IDF fires at the Palestinians? Every bit of it is stamped Made in USA.
Something to think about in coming days, as the IDF systematically razes the Gaza Ghetto internment camp.

War is the fail state, "It takes two fools to fight." Modern war especially, until the 20th century the carnage was almost entirely confined to each other's militaries. Now civilians take the lion's share of the casualties, it's a nightmare.

Very apt!
