Fancy being a German Christian who goes to Israel "dedicating their lives to caring for Holocaust survivors." Then get killed participating in a Warsaw Ghetto like genocide of your own, a Palestinian Holocaust.
NB My favourite Darwin winner is still the American "missionary" who got speared on Nth Sentinel Island in 2019.

Bad gramma on my part, name was referring to the German who died fighting for the IDF in Gaza.
Personally, I would never travel to the Middle East or eastern Europe, just too much violence and instability, and you have to be out of your mind or have a death wish, to want to do missionary work in the Middle East..
