When religious people demand that I respect their beliefs because it is their god given right to be respected I get the same feeling. I especially like it when they demand my respect for their delusions which include having me burn in hell for all eternity, really nice people, the kind you want for a friend or a lover, like never. πŸ˜€

Respecting someone's religion and respecting their prejudices against you are not the same thing. Prejudice means to pre-judge (before knowing the facts), and they are pre-judging you to hell. (Gee, I thought only God had the right to judge someone to hell.)
Unfortunately, religion is often a cover for practicing prejudice and blaming it on God, as in "I don't really mean to discriminate against you, but God says I must."

When one considers that all gods are figments of the limited imaginations of gullible people then it really means that they are damning me to their imaginary hell but they just don't have the guts to do it to my face without using a proxy. I don't respect religions and I won't even consider it until they stop being one of the major sources of suffering and hatred on this planet.

@Surfpirate In actual FACT you may find that Religions, for the majority of parts, are INVENTED by those who are/were intelligent enough to see the potential of inventing such belief systems and convincing others to adhere to them simply to gain whatever power, etc, they may over their 'followers' thus serving their own selfish needs and ends.

@Triphid Gods are figments of the imaginations of gullible people but Religions are inventions of intelligent people to control the gullible. You can invent a religion and control people through it without believing in the imaginary figurehead, I considered it myself when I was just a youngster, morality got the better of me.

As I was taught from early childhood, Respect is something that needs to be EARNED, it is NOT a Given thing, ergo I have never once seen nor found ANY reason WHY any religion has ever earned nor deserved any respect what-so-ever.

I respect their beliefs in that I'm not trying to pass a law that has them executed for being ignorant. However; the second they use their "beliefs" to try to oppress anybody in any way, I'll walk on them like shit.

Yeah! That is how I slept last night.

I've said it before and I'll probably say it again:. Demanding respect is the quickest way to not get it. They can fuck off and take their stupid with them.

3

I respect no religion but ignore all those religious comments I get. Bless me... with a tip!

They don’t see the hypocrisy.
