FEARLESS LEADER ALERT

Our beloved Fearless Fuhrer today pulled us out of the Iran Agreement. I suspect that will at least temporarily destabilize the Middle East a little more than usual and who knows what the ramifications of that will be.

Also, if you're low on gas, I suggest you fill up now or be prepared not to complain tomorrow. That's not a guarantee. I don't know that prices will soar -- but I'd act anyway. You need the gas, so it won't hurt to fill up now.

Well, just like with Paris Climate Accords, you could see this one coming from a mile away. If Obama had anything to do with it he wanted to reverse it or kill it. He's such a petty, small-minded little man. This is terrible for the stability of the Middle East, and another black eye for the US with our Allies. 2020 can't come soon enough!

Maybe we won't have to wait that long.

P.S. Am I the only one who thinks that the man in the oval office is engaging in a form of insider trading? He makes a comment, the media covers it - the stock market plunges - I'm sure his companies and his cronies are busy buying on the drop - 24 or 48 hrs later he tweets another batch of crap - the market skyrockets - aforementioned people all sell and the cycle just keeps repeating itself. A very small handful of people (and corporations) are probably making a killing while the average, poor shmuck looks at his 401💋 and wonders how long it will be before that little upward tick gets wiped out by the next bear market. ????

I'm waiting to see what the Chinese have to say. You know, since they buy a lot of oil from Iran. 45 is a fucking moron.

Oh really?

@Beach_slim Yeah, okay. Whatever.

@gater It's people who believe his con that support him. He's been crooked for 40 years. Continue to believe him if you want. Calling those who don't support 45, "stupid", is nothing more than proving there's no valid argument to support him. There are plenty of valid arguments against him than there have ever been for him.

@Beach_slim You're making a VERY false assumption. I'm not "rooting for our enemies". Just because I don't support that lying scumbag in the White House who calls himself "president", don't think that doesn't mean I don't support my country. The fact that I do support my country makes my lack of support for him a moral imperative.
Further, don't come at me with that hypocritical bullshit. For eight years I listened and watched as people disrespected and denigrated Obama, who is ten times the man 45 will ever be.
45 supporters have no credibility whatsoever. They refused to acknowledge what a miserable con man he's ALWAYS been. He's a crook and a fraud. He's got five kids by three different wives. He's cheated on ALL of them.
He claims he's a "christian", yet he said he was an atheist in "Art of the Deal" because it made business deals easier to make. He's ripped off hard-working people, treated women like shit, and is a proven racist piece of shit. I could go on, but you obviously don't care about the truth of who that man has always been. I've known he's scum for over 40 years. Don't expect me to change my mind just because he managed to steal an election.
If 45 hadn't had his daddy's money, he'd be just another fat, balding, loud-mouth from Queens, and probably would have done time by now for running a 3-card Monty scam.
Just because you got fooled doesn't mean everyone else did.

@Beach_slim I still don't know where you're getting the false idea that I am supporting Iran. You're as wrong about that as you are about 45.

Further, Iran does NOT have nuclear capabilities. YET. They cannot threaten to use what they do not have. YET. They had been complying with the deal. Now that 45 has pulled out of it, they are no longer required to comply. They haven't "threatened" anything. They have been creating a lot of trouble in the area, but they don't have nukes. YET. Now, however, they can get help from NK developing their nuclear capabilities, because North Korea DOES have nuclear weapons. You are woefully misinformed and have the whole thing backwards. North Korea doesn't need Iran's "help" getting nuclear weapons, they just need Iran's oil.
Besides, now that 45 has backed out of the Iran deal, why should North Korea believe 45 will stick to any deal he offers them? He backed out of the Paris Climate Accord, he's backed out of the Iran deal. He's shown the entire world that he cannot be trusted. He's screwed over our allies, and our enemies are not afraid of him. He's made our nation a global laughingstock. The ONLY ones who do not realize that are 45 supporters.

Your perspective is faulty AF. That you think I "hate" America is just another fallacy, and I honestly don't care what you think. It's not remotely true, and I know it. Your judgment in all matters is suspect, at best.
That's the real trouble with those who support 45, they have no use for facts and make their shit up as they go along. You don't have any more credibility than any of the rest of them.

@Beach_slim You have extrapolated an awful lot based on not much at all.
Your rambling rant is full of nothing but conjecture, and is woefully short on fact. You really haven't got a clue as to what you're talking about. You haven't deduced anything that has any connection to reality. I also don't care if you care to share what you "think" you know about me. Bring it. People like you do not scare me. You talk like you know shit, but you really don't know anything at all. Go ahead. Tell me what you "think" you know. I'm amused by you now. Entertain me.

@Beach_slim Just as an fyi, you're coming across as being increasingly
unhinged. If you'd like to withdraw from this conversation, I'd completely understand.

It gets worse. John Bolton said he wants “war with Iran” by the end of 2019. Another money maker for the elites while middle class and poor get killed on the battlefield.

We began dancing in the minefield about 8 months ago. The addition of Bolton was not good news.

Looks like Trump took another step in that direction last night, tearing up the treaty.

9

Just bear in mind that everything he does is for effect - the shock value.....having said that, I predict that he will use that 6 month withdrawal window to made a few demands that will probably be agreed to by Iran (probably nothing more than they have signed up for already) and he will stand up in front of the microphone and shout to the world that HE is the greatest dealmaker in the world and look at the MAGNIFICIENT deal he and only he has been able to achieve. Everything he has done - to date - is more about negating something that has Obama's name on it - some of which ends up being reinstated so that he can then claim credit for it..... And - sadly - he and his mignons have made a mockery of whatever it is his wife is attempting to do by having her staff literally steal stuff that Michelle Obama said and did - I don't know if they think we are all so stupid we won't figure it out - or if its more about making her look stupid because he can't stand anyone to steal his thunder - including his wife.

If he lets the window play out. I don't see him doing that. He's too impatient.

Either trump is or his cronies that recieved the tax give away could also be trading on the commodies exchange, s&p 500, mini-s&p 500, Dow jones and nasdaq.

You are spot on!!!!!

@Lonely -- Yes. It is a term for "available time" as in to reach Mars a rocket needs to depart Earth inside its "launch window".

Quit! Trump will go down in history as one of the best presidents ever!!! You want total bullchit politics as usual, move to California. Trump IS making a YUGE difference. I am with Trump 'til hell freezes over! Join me...........

8

Yep the fucking moron is at it again. This play's into putin's hands and no one sees what a traitor trump is.

8

From a Machiavellian standpoint starting a war with Iran would really improve the Trumpster's chances for re-election, with China and Russia on the fringes it would be serious enough to make people stick with whoever was in power for the sake of national security. The Crazy Christians would be over the moon as this would be seen to move biblical prophecy forward and the Israelis would be happy so the Jewish voting bloc would be onside as well. Forget what is good for Americans, just get re-elected.

8

I feel like a conspiracy theorist when I think these things but ... Doesn't this play into Russia's hands? We get further bogged down in the Middle East, possibly in a real shooting war, with ground troops.
Russian oil prices will sky rocket.
Russia has more latitude with everyone still needing oil and Ukraine falls while we worry about Saigon. I mean Tehran.

No conspiracy theory -- it's logical. We can't know what will happen, but you just gave a reasonable and plausible guess.

No we have a traitor in our backyard and the gop it standing right behind him.

Au, contraire!!! We are pumping oil at a record pace and we are exporting the stuff. Soon, there will be an oil rig in Times Square. We will wind up as champs of the energy biz. All this hysteria about Russia is just mindless crap!!! "Hating" Russia is good for business, huh? We have spent trillions hating Russia. For what? Russia is not the problem. China.........? Could be. Middle East is where the real insanity lies. Dealing with religious maniacs is a daunting and guaranteed losing proposition. We will never come together. Making nice with them is asinine. We are either in charge, or we are not. The longer we wait, the worse it gets.

Sorry honey....no can do. I'm old enough to remember what trump was all about back in the early days.....he has always been a liar, a cheat and a consummate con artist. Those traits in and of themselves should have made people question his ability to govern this country - add to that the fact that he is averse to learning from others and can't put his enormous bloated ego aside - even for the good of this country - and you have your very own little oligarch in the making. You like the kind of governance he espouses? Maybe move to Russia for a couple of years - you might feel right at home. Not saying things in Washington couldn't use a good housecleaning.....but this guy wasn't the one capable of doing it. The level of the swamp has risen about 6 feet this past year..... 😉 😉

8

What an ignoramous! He has to try to undo everything Obama did.

Of course - Obama was clueless

8

I can't even....I mean seriously you guys really HAVE to do something. This man is gonna drag us all down. We won't even have EU to lean on...

@WizardBill agreed. He cannot stay in office until 2020

@AmelieMatisse Unfortunately he can - unless impeachment becomes a serious option.

@Petter -- So far, impeachment is not going to do anything to change this mess. They can go through the drill, but the result will be toothless.

@evidentialist Why?

@Amisja -- Because you have to convict, and even after the mid terms that probably won't be possible. Read this article. It spells it out quite well.

[politico.com]

@Amisja Impeachment is no guarantee of removal from Office. Clinton was impeached by the House, but the Senate did not vote to convict and remove him from office. He was able to finish his second term.
45 needs to be forced to resign. Yes, we'll have Pence, but he led the transition and is in this thing up to his eyeballs. He can be impeached, and hopefully convicted and removed from Office. Ryan will be gone by then, so we won't be stuck with him.

@KKGator There, in a nutshell, is the script outline for a complete TV series.
Quick! register the copyright and then flog it to FOX entertainment, (so they can suppress it)
Better still, add the suppression to the script outline!

Iran tries to nuke up while they continue to fund their destabilizing allies. Israel tries to blow up Iranian nuclear facilities. If Iran gets nukes then Saudi Arabia wants nukes. All nations, including N. Korea, sees US can't be trusted with treaties. All the while the divide between US and Europe deepens further strengthening Russia and China. Wonder what time it is on the Doomsday Clock now?

00:00:05

6

Existentialist you probably have double that Moron's I.Q, it must piss you off to have a fruitcake low-life sack of shit draft dodging son of a bitch making destabilizing decisions like this. Dont get me wrong he is lovely caring and compassionate leader, just not right for this century.

Roger that. The man has produced a genuine Charlie Foxtrot in the White House and now we're dancing in the minefield. This is not where I thought I'd be at this stage of my life.

Hahaha love it.

5

Trump serves the Russian oligarch.

5

It may be that the world will never trust us to honor our treaties ever again. Not that we had a history of keeping our word. Just ask the Indigenous, Mexicans and Hawaiians to name a few.

5

Just opened up Iran to begin enrichment again. Nothing stopping them from developing full nuclear weapons now that the agreement has been terminated. Trump is a small-minded, corrupt douche bag who is quickly undoing all the good of past presidents.

4

What I'm hoping it will do is create an economic and international crisis for this country. We really need to experience some sort of failure before people get the message of how BAD this person really is and the direction the country is heading under his insanity!!

I think we're well on the road to getting exactly that. We don't have to hope for it --- but you are right.

@evidentialist Sometimes we have to hit bottom before we can get back on the right path again. The Constitution and out system is in dire need of change. A recent article in the Atlantic said the job of the presidency has gotten too big and complicated for one person.

@JackPedigo -- Agreed.

4

Good suggestion. Herr Trump is going to start World War III at this rate. He is "disposable" like Jarred according to Rudy.

3

IRAN Agreement, what exactly is the scope of the agreement and what is the responsability of USA in such deal? Can someone elaborate in terms everyone can understand?

In a nutshell, the US lifted economic sanctions against Iran in exchange for them stopping their nuclear program.
By pulling out of the agreement, sanctions have been re-imposed, and Iran can restart their nuclear program.

@KKGator I don't know much on the subject, therefore I am asking. I appreciate the effort and be patient with me. Now I have a follow up question. By lifting sanctions in exchange for them to stop their nuclear program seems like a lot of trust would be required to make this work. Based on what facts does the USA can claim to feel sure and confident on trusting Iran?

It's really the best of both worlds for Iran. They can restart their nuclear program and continue trading with the European signatories to the deal. Plus they got all their impounded cash back. Our President is an idiot.

@IamNobody While the deal was in place, UN inspectors were monitoring whether Iran was keeping up their end of the deal. I also would imagine that US intelligence was doing the same. Despite what Netanyahu is now saying, there had been no reports that Iran was operating in bad faith. At least as far as the cessation of nuclear activities was concerned.
The lifting of sanctions made it possible for them sell their oil, and do business with other countries.
Now, with the US pulling out of the deal, and reimposing sanctions, Iran is free to restart their nuclear program. They are also free to arrange deals with whichever nations are willing to do business with them. Like China, which buys a lot of oil from them. Other countries can do whatever deals they please, as well.
45 is fucking moron and only wants to undo everything Obama and other presidents have done. He's pathological.
He's not going to be able to get a "better deal" anywhere.
The whole North Korea thing might go south as well. Why should Kim trust 45 to follow through on any deal that might have been negotiated?
45 has a long history on reneging on contracts. He pulled out of the Paris Climate Agreement, he's pulled out of the Iran deal, he's gone back his promise that Medicare won't be touched. Why would anyone believe anything he says?

@KKGator Let's not forget to mention that the repulsicans are right up there with the idiot in charge. They want this as much as he does. They have had a boner for this for a long time.

@patchoullijulie Quite right. They were the obstructionists while Obama was in office. The vast majority of republicans are complete hypocrites.

Sorry for the typo evidentialist, predictive text can be a pain in the ass...

Hah..! The typo was damned accurate in where I am at the moment. Time to clean out the bunker -- I think.

@evidentialist. For what, to stockpile oil or to take refuge from a nuclear strike?

@Hitchens -- Both?
